Are Filipinos still worth dying for? Part VI
At this juncture, the enemy was not anymore outsiders but one of us, a Filipino Martial Law curtailed the freedom and independence, not of the country, but the individual. It didn’t take long for the people to condemn such way of governance.
Little by little, the fire inside the hearts of the Filipino began to grow. This fire yearned for freedom. In one act, the people became united. The outrage that people felt towards the death of Aquino intensified until finally, the Filipino nation went up to EDSA and spoke. “No More!”
