2 Days Absent

I’m Not Feeling Well

Yesterday I woke up late. I had a feeling I don’t want to rise on my bed. I felt I am very tired and no energy to be use for the rest of the day. I force myself to went on our shop and open it, I am thankful Bryan (our youngest brother) was with me because they don’t have class anymore so time for him to help me on my offline business.

While on the shop I felt unusual. My body was heavy to move anywhere in the shop. After 2 hours my cousin came so I left the shop riding my motorcycle. I go directly to my bed and lying. I was too hot and I have a fever and no one can care me while I am sick. Miguel and my wife went to my in-laws house for Miguel’s immunization.

I manage to care myself and I drink FLANAX and DECOLSIN to relieve my hot body temperature. Until last night still I am lying on the bed. It’s almost a year I never felt any sickness. Lately, I always sleep late and woke up very early because I have daily schedule of walking and need to open early our shop. Maybe I am over fatigue and need my body to relax. It is the time to relax and recover all the energy that I’ve lost for several months.

Walking -Make A Daily Habit

A daily walk can strengthen and lengthen our life, according to some health experts. Walking is one type of exercise that can be help in developing a good health condition. It is good for everyone. In maintaining weight, controlling blood pressure and reducing risks of any type of cancer. Nowadays, people are too lazy to do any exercise because as per them time is not enough and too busy on their respective daily routine. Walking is the best among all exercise that you don't need to spend any pennies to execute it.

To do daily walking, better to sleep early so that you can wake up at early time. Spending few minutes walking is not bad. You can boost your strength for the whole day if you did a few minutes walking early in the morning. I woke up most of the time at 5:30am to do walking while my son Miguel still sleeping. It help me not to feel tired for the whole day while managing my offline business.

If you haven't tried, make a plan and do a habit of spending few minutes of walking around your area. I am lucky we are near on the beach so every morning I went to the beach for walking.

Are You Sick Of Getting ERROR?

Everyday we encounter different error message when we load up Bubblews page. Yesterday was the worst experience I had. I am expecting that the site will resume to normal operation after 5pm but it wasn't happened. I log out at 8m and didn't know what time the normal loading resume. This morning when I log-in it was fast and I started to post my own article. It's 10am here but the site still loading fast. I cannot manage to post more articles today because I am too busy with my offline job.

What you did yesterday while +Bubblews was down and the loading period takes more time to wait. I want the site to maintain it's speed so we can make our daily routine to view, likes and comments some of our connection.

How did you manage your online opportunity if time comes that you don't have any activity did on Bubblews? Hope that the version 3.0 will be start soonest possible.

A Cloudy Tuesday Morning

As woke up this morning I witness the sky without any clouds and the sun shine very brightly but after few minutes the weather change and now it's cloudy and I think there will be a rain shower later on.

Well, yesterday was a little bit annoying, supposedly the site will go back to normal after 5pm in the afternoon here in the Philippines but sad to say until 8pm the site still on slow loading mode. I didn't even read more than 20 articles posted by some members here in +Bubblews.

I am hoping that today, it won't happen again so we can post more articles and of course we can make some money out of our every activities here. I missed all of the post yesterday. I apologize to all my friends from different social media, I missed posting my articles because of the site situation.

I will try my best to post more today so that you will enjoy reading my new shared articles. I didn't even make any article to be posted because I was so tired attending customers here in our shop. Today is a market day here, expected to encounter hundreds of clients and customers again.

My 2 sibling can help me here starting today because their class was finished yesterday after my sister graduated from high school. They will become my assistant for more than 2 months before classes will begin this coming June.

myLot Versus Bubblews

For more than 6 years I have been working in myLot. Even the compensation it wasn't bigger compared to Bublews but I enjoy doing it because of so many close friends. I keep coming back the site even I am so busy with my regular job. Just this week I encounter one way of cyber bullying which I can't accept it and even other members too.

I am new to Bubblews but I felt very welcome. No strict guidelines we need to follow. If you check the page of TEU -Terms of Use and compare to the guidelines of myLot it's a big difference. You will be bored reading all those DO's and DON'Ts and the return a small penny from the site revenue. I think it's time to compare both site in terms of different features.

First let's talk about earnings for both site Bubblews and mylot

myLot until now didn't reveal how their eaning calculation being made. Discussing about earning algorithms is against their guidelines so don't attempt to talk about it within the site, I make sure you post will be deleted and your earnings will be reduce. Even you stay 24 hours in myLot your maximum earnings won't reach to $2. How did the admin did the calculation. myLot has more than 250,000 members. Let say only 50,000 active out of the total members. It means their still a heavy load of traffic to their advertisement. I think myLot owner already have a dream vacation to the most luxurious part of the earth.

Bubblews is a very far away in terms of earnings. 50/50 sharing of revenues is a very fair to the owner and the member of each site. Excellent job to +Bubblews who help alot of members to sustain their daily needs, monthly bills and even their own savings. Thousand already testify that +Bubblews helps to make their dream gadget realize.

In my own case, I am a member of myLot for more than 6 years but the earnings I got is far away from the earning I got from Bubblews.

Guidelines and Terms of Service

Have you tried to read the whole guidelines of myLot? People are lazy to read a very long stories because of time consuming. Aside from very long guidelines you need to read also their term of service. You need to consume more than 30 minutes to finished it and you will get the point. A very long DO's and DON'Ts but a very short story about the earnings.

Many members open several accounts after their previous account being blocked due to violation of the guidelines. Do you think it is fair? myLot envy those who wants to promote other programs that might harm the site. You can encounter several members who are unprofessional. They are more worried now because Bubblews start rocking the world.

If you check and read those page you don't need to worry about the time you will consume because it compose of several sentences but it covers all the activities. Bubblews has been proven being fair to all their members. You are not block instantly once you violated the rule. You are give time to clean your mess. If you post against the rule, the post still viewable by different members. You are given time until you request your money in the banks to edit your post which violated the rule. Is it unfair? It's very fair to all of the members.

For example your schedule to redeem is after 7days, so you have time to re-checked your post if there are violations you committed. This is a guide also to other members, before you click the redeem button be sure you check all your post to avoid unpaid redemption. We all know that moderator will thoroughly check all our post before the payment being made.

Advertisement of myLot

If you have been a member of myLot even a short period of time, you did observe that all pages you can find the advertisement. There were times that even every respond in any discussion have ads next to the comment. It's annoying to see those text ads everywhere in the page. The only site I saw different kinds of ads. We all know, advertisement are the one who support every sites to sustain and continue the operation.

You can see the ads from upper leaderboard, right side bar and also the search engine below the leaderboard.

There's also ads about their other programs CASHGOPHER. You can find it after every discussion you are posted to the site. If you will find hundreds of ads, how they only share a little amount to their members?

Bubblews advertisement is normal. You can find it only in the upper leaderboard and right side bar. It won't destruct your eyes while reading different post.

In terms of PAYMENT, what is the difference between the 2 sites?

myLot will pay to its members only one time each month. Regardless of any amount after you reach minimum payout of $10, you will be paid on or before the 15th of the month. It's mean your earning for this month of March will be paid on or before April 15th next month. The cut off time for your earnings, every end of the month. Your earnings will continue accumulate even it's the beginning of the month. If your earnings on March 31 is $10.50 and on April 01 is $0.10 it will become $10.60 Your balance will change after the day of payments. Based on the knowledge get from different active members on myLot whom they stay more hours on the site, the maximum earnings they can get every month from myLot is only $25. myLot give a signed on payment day, the color of the LOGO will turn to GREEN from blue.

Bubblews will pay each member regardless of date. As long as you will reach the redemption minimum of $25 you can request it anytime and will paid after 24 hours. You can earn each month more than $100-$200 depending on your time effort given to the site. The more time you spent in the site doing different valid activities you will be compensated. If you have bunch of friends and followers on different social media, you will earn more. While in myLot, even you created millions of traffic in the site still you will earn cents out of thousand dollars earned by myLot.

In terms of moderator and support team

myLot has several moderator but to know who are they I mean which username they used around the site, nobody knows except the admin. One Admin reveal himself after one leave, he is a man but he used the username "GoAskAlice". I have several complain with myLot and not only me because of some mistakes of their moderator. Some post deleted even without any violations. Some moderator are lazy to investigate the issue and automatically delete the post. I was crying on the discussion although I know it's a violation. Admin PM me and told me that if ever I have problem with the site I inform him to sort it out. Well, I did last 3 days ago but until now no reply I've got from any of them. Incredible support!

Bubblews support team reveal themselves and we can find them anywhere as long as their a report and mention them in any articles posted here in the site. I learned some of the points and violations that I did already. It's been clear now and I am very thankful that they are active and ready to help any members who wants clarification. In myLot you are not allowed to exercise all your freedom of speech. The guidelines are straight to the point and you are not allowed to do any advertising in any forms. You are not allowed to post about birthdays, recipes or any milestones related to myLot or any other programs. myLot is a jealous site as many says. Why they said a jealous site? It's because you are not allowed to advertise any links and convince other to join you on your discussion.

I joined the site on January 23, 2013. Within a month I reach payout of $9. I love working this site because it's easy to complete a task that will takes only about seconds or a minute to finished it. If you are capable to do all task and your reputation rating is above 75%, you can make more task everyday. Some members already earned more than $1000.

My request for payout is now pending. I need to wait 21 days to received my PIN which sent by MAIL from USA. It's really a happy Sunday for me because I got a notification in my inbox stating that I received and E-check to my Paypal account. What an awesome feelings for the 3rd time I m surely paid. Calling You an Idiot - Acceptable?

Yesterday I encounter an argument with fellow myLotters. He was calling me an idiot which I cannot take it. First time somebody called me idiot, whom I don't know him and he didn't know me yet.

I have had a hot discussion last night with a fellow myLotters because of calling me an idiot. It’s against my will to accept that I was an idiot due to some violations I did. I accept that it was my mistakes that I replied to a member who as me more information about Bubblews.

I cannot control the situation that some members asked more about the site, so I posted a phrase “wait on my PM” which is against on the guidelines.

I owed myLot for founding Bubblews. One of the member here posted a discussion asking more information about site and if the site still paying all of the members that reaches their minimum redemption. Despite there are bad experiences due to delayed or unpaid redemption. I cannot blame Bubblews because some of them violated the Terms of Use.

In returned I also inform some of my friends what happen to my new found opportunity. If I violate the rules, there’s no reason that somebody will hit me at the back by a certain word that is not acceptable for me.

If he has concerned about me, he can speak me diligently without hitting my ego. He apologize but he speak too much and asking support from his friends.

Until now I am thinking about how this guy openly called me idiot because of my post. Well, I didn't hide about the program I work lately. I need more funds to rescue me for being unemployed. I told the guys, don't call me idiot because you don't know me yet. In fact, just now I saw your activity in myLot. If idiot is acceptable in your country, don't generalize us. Some countries don't want to hear those words.

You want to know what was his answer? He said, "It's their problem not mine" He was showing how rude he speak to me.

If I make a violation, no one have the right to call me idiot. This guy act very rude to fellow Lotters. Not all individual accept that word. We are from different countries and we have different customs and tradition. You should do your job to reprimand those people. Don't be so blind about the discussion we have yesterday. I caught several members who violate myLot guidelines but I never use any words that I know not all will accept.

Respect is the most important and to make myLot runs smoothly. This guy didn't show his respect to others even those who violate the rule. We often commit mistakes because we are not perfect but saying rude words is another story that need action. You are the Admin of myLot, have you telling rude words to anybody here? Of course you didn't. Besides he doesn't know me yet, I don't know where in hell we have meet before. He suddenly showed his bad attitude and told me in a rudest way.

Good Morning Bubblewers and Friends

It's a very nice morning to all of you guys!

It's a sunny Saturday here in our place.

I start the day with +brosmigueljourney and +onlineopportunity overview. Today is a great day for me. Although I am lack of sleep because of my son who always looking care after midnight but still I wake up very early this morning at around 5:30am. While he sleep I have time to walk around until I reached the beach near my location. I stare for while the seashore and the boats coming in and leaving out.

I feel the summer breeze within the beach area. It's too hot during the day but early morning it's very very cold. I make a daily routine to walk every morning along the seashore in the beach nearby us.

I think it keeps me more healthy and away from sickness. I will continue walking within this week and after 1 week I will do jogging to strengthen my stamina.

Pope Resign to Change His Religion

I didn't know that the previous Pope resigned until I read it from different blogs of Bubblews members. It means my source of news now change instead of Television and Radio, not even from Google or Yahoo. I am more dependent on different international news on this site. Bubblews is a great help to those who wants to earn and to learn.

This morning while waiting when Bubblews time change because I reached already my maximum number of post, I read different blogs posted from any members here. Several post talk about the new elected Pope. Another talk of the town issue that all christians must know.

I am confuse why the previous pope step down to the highest position of the Catholic Church and no other reason reveal by the Vatican except health problems. I try searching other reason through the help of myLot search engine.

One link caught my attention. I read thoroughly the article and it said that the pope resign because he was converted to Islam. Do you believe that he was converted to Islam?

I am thinking maybe it's true or the writer wanted to to attract viewers and get more traffic on his/her site? What do you think guys?

Unfortunately, I wanted to post this morning, an overview of my activities here since yesterday until last night but I am not lucky due to maximum number of post had been reached. I am warn by the system many times. Not knowing that I started posting my blogs since yesterday.

Anyway, I can start posting now because it's new time for Bubblews although it's afternoon here in the Philippines.

I received a good news this morning when I open my email. I am inform that my echeck has been cleared. I directly open my Paypal account and found out the amount already credited to my account. I am very happy for this notification I got from Bubblews and Paypal.

Yesterday, I reach my 3rd minimum redemption. Later tonight might be I will request my 3rd redeem. I am very greatful to all the staff of Bubblews and all my Bubblews connection together with all my facebook friends and twitter follower.

It's a great day for me and the rest of Bubblews member who got their echeck cleared.

HK Supervisor Detailed Job

I will explain one by one all the job description that I mention on my post and give some work related experience based on the job description.

1. Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.

Every morning before our room attendants will go to their respective area, they will wait the supervisor to get their respective assignments. In the assignment given each on them, it shows how many check outs, occupied and newly check in they are going to clean for the period of 8 hours depending on the guest request. Some guest request to clean their room before they will leave the hotel to attend their respective appointments. Be sure to follow the request of the guest and observe which guest will arrived late during the day or before the guest leave you can ask all of them. Actually, they won't leave the hotel in an instant, I mean they go out one by one so you will have time to ask them except those guest who check-in as a group.

Group guest will leave the hotel as a group so you are unlucky if all of them will be assign in your area. If that is the case, room attendants should consult their immediate supervisor what they are going to do. The supervisor will assign another attendant to help the person to finish immediately the rooms assign occupied by group guest.

Every now and then, the Supervisor will constantly check the works of the attendant if they follow the standard way of cleaning. We also check the occupied room specially group guest to avoid complains.

2. Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.

We cannot assume that 100% complains free. Even 5 star hotel will experience different kinds and types of complains from different guest. Most of the time guest will complain because of poor cleanliness and and late or delayed service.

For example, a guest who occupied a room for several days and the room attendant didn't clean properly because of rush hour, as a supervisor we should talk to the guest and listen to what he complains. Most of the time, when guest complain in one thing, they will carry all other complains that they might forget already. Be sensitive to what the guest feelings. Apologize the guest even you as supervisor the guest find a reason to be treated like a lion that anytime he/she will swallow you. Let him/her speak until finish. In the hotel I working, we used Opera system all departments to give access all needed details related to the guest. As a supervisor we will update his/her profile, giving an alert to all departments that "we should take care those guest" when they will come again. By doing this, we can prepare what his/her special request during his/her stay in the hotel.

Some guest complains about the amenities and some furniture and fixtures inside the room. We always the things that are possible to give and also if it is available at hand. For example we provide medical pillows upon request, special pillow for those who are allergic of feather pillows, some equipment from the gym they want it to be inside their rooms, etc.

3. Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.

Before the beginning of the shift, supervisor take note all the necessary rooms that are going to clean. Make priority those who are book for early arrivals. It will appear in the systems which rooms are arrivals and the time the guest will arrive. Aside from check outs that showing arrivals. Some rooms also showed arrivals even still occupied. It means the guest will check out anytime of the day and there are guest book for those rooms.

When the data needed already gathered, it's the time to designate whose room attendant will clean the rooms. Mostly, we clean first those rooms that are arrivals for booking guest. Occupied rooms will be clean after cleaning those arrival rooms depending on the guest request what time they want their rooms to be clean.

If in case, the guest need early morning cleaning, supervisor and room attendant will see to it that it won't conflict with the arrivals so that no complains will happen later.

4. Coordinates work activities among departments.

Housekeeping is only one departments in every hotel industry. We should coordinate to other departments to have a better and smooth operation. Mainly, we are close to the reception. They are the one update about the guest profile and rooms status if it is occupied or check outs. It happened many time we check the rooms because it's already showing check out in the system but when I enter the room, still occupied. If no guest, luggage is there. Some guest, coordinate with the reception that they are going to check out on a specific date and time so the reception will change the status with the agreed date and time finished. Without knowing that the guest or luggage still in the room. We always communicate with the reception and vice versa.

Aside from the reception, we also coordinated with Engineering department. Any defects and problems inside the room, the department should be inform immediately. Common problems we encounter; aircon not working, telephone, tv and electrical outlet not working. Those are the common problem we encounter everyday.

5. Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.

Every morning before we start doing our daily work routine, supervisor will conduct short briefing. Within 15 minutes all problems and complains discuss with the room attendant and come out with the preventive measure and avoid repeating the mistakes. That is the best time to communication the whole group and talk about we are going to do if there picky guest coming.

We also discuss some new rules and updates from the management. Especially new set-up of the rooms, cleaning methods and any other thing that can give impression to our guest.

New equipment arrived, supervisor will show to all room attendant how to operate. How to apply new brand chemicals and new time schedule for all the staffs.

6. Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.

Every month we will undergo monthly inventories in all the supplies we are using in the rooms. This task to be done by the supervisor alone or together with another supervisor.

We will count all the following items and supplies:

bath towels

bidet towels

face towels

hand towels

single sheets

double sheets

king sheets

duvet cover

small pillow case

big pillow case

bath mat

Note: every hotel different set-up standard and not all items mention above are used in any other hotel.

Amenities inventory controlled by the order take not the supervisor but in some hotel it also included in the supervisor task.

7. Evaluates records to forecast department personnel requirements.

Supervisor should know the required staff in every shift. Depending on the total check outs and occupied rooms. There are times that the staff took leave for health problem and also you consider the weekly day off. In some cases, staff allowed to have rest day but supervisor don't have.

Everyday you will monitor the total occupancy of the hotel, how many guest will going check out so you can assign and manage staff to take charge all the duties on that particular week.

In Middle East, staff are compulsorily give Ramadan and Hajj leave. So, supervisor will calculate the required staff on that days base on the occupancy of the hotel. If there were unexpected guest will check in like walk-in guest. Supervisor can designate additional staff or all the remaining staff who have work on that day will undergo overtime to cover the work assignments.

8. Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.

3 times a weeks all supervisors have 2 hours briefing and open forum with department head. We recorded all unusual problems we encounter in relations to our guest. We will discuss all possible solutions to avoid the incidents happen again. Everyday we are roaming around within the vicinity of the hotel including rooms. We will get the data from our room attendant and public area staff. We will draw a recommendation to our manager and decide what will be out first action about the problems.

Our manager will make plans what are the things that we need to priorities. Constant briefing and meeting with our managers we can solve the problems soonest possible that cannot harm with our guest.

Every week we have a room division meeting with Director of Rooms and other supervisor from Reception and other departments. I highly admire the coordination we did in the hotel. That is the reason why we have hundreds of regular guest coming to the hotel even some of them already raised a series of complains on their previous stays.

9. Prepares reports concerning room occupancy, payroll, and department expenses

Supervisor will prepare all the reports from morning to afternoon if he work on morning shift. We constantly check the system to find out which rooms already check outs and need immediate cleaning.

9:30am room attendant will start knocking the door of each rooms to know if their are guest or guest already check out. Most of the time they will finished it at 10am. Supervisor will take the report from room attendant actual checking of each rooms.

10:30am supervisor will submit the copy of the report to the reception to coincide their records and also to the accounting for billing purposes.

4:30pm room attendant will again check each rooms, which rooms occupied, new check-in and check outs. 5:15pm - supervisor will make the afternoon report to be submitted to the reception and accounting.

10. Selects and purchases new furnishings.

Supervisor will recommend furniture and fixtures to be purchase by purchasing department. Besides, all defective parts of the rooms or within the hotel vicinity will be replace depending upon the agreed replacement. If ever there are additional furniture or fixture provided in the rooms, supervisor also check it if it's really necessary and cannot destruct the rooms arrangement and won't bother the comfort of the guest.

Special request from the guest such as medical pillows and other type of pillows and gadget that can be used by the guest specially if sickly. Supervisor will coordinate to their immediate manager for the request of the necessary furniture and fixture and any other request for immediate approval.

11. Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage.

This is the worst thing that a supervisor can make if incase there will be a shortage of staff due to sicknesses. We cannot force our room attendant to come on duty while they are sick. Supervisor should maximize the manpower. If overtime is not possible, the supervisor will do a task that is not their normal routine.

In a case to case basis only. I've been working in a 5 star hotel and we have enough staff but there are times that I will help my room attendant to do their job to shorten the time. Mostly it happened during peak season. You need to remove your vest and help the roomboy to clean the room specially if the guest already waiting at the lobby or lounge.

Supervisor job is tough, that is the reason why I refuse the latest job offer because of the salary given to me. Not deserve for my hardwork and effort for the job I'm going to do.

12. Examines building to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management.

The manager depends on the eyes of every supervisor who always round and check the whole rooms and surroundings. Supervisor will be the first to know which part of the rooms or buildings need immediate repair. To lessen the task, supervisor might channeled the task to all staff to check and report immediately to the supervisor any parts of the rooms and the building need repair for the Engineering.

Sometimes, supervisor are very busy checking rooms and don't have time to check the nearest surroundings so room attendant will do it for the supervisor. If the supervisor know that the staff are busy for some other things because of additional task, supervisor will maximize their time to cover all the works assigned to them.

13. Attends staff meetings to discuss company policies and patrons' complaints.

It depends on the hotel you are working. Aside from the morning briefing we did everyday, we have staff meeting every quarter of the year to know the updates from the staff and also introduce new policies of the hotel if there is.

During the meeting, the manager or the supervisor will inform the staff all complains encountered during the quarter and find solutions to avoid another complains with similar situation.

Supervisor will be the mediator between the staff and the management. Supervisor should be fair in every situation. Don't show any favor between management and the staff. You should think many points to avoid disputes between supervisor and management.

14. Issues supplies and equipment to workers.

We refill amenities every room daily. It means, supervisor will determine how many amenities needed in each room such as shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, toot brush, vanity kit, shower cap, soap and water. Supervisor will give notice to the order taker the supplies needed each room attendant for 8 hours working.

Every month we replenish or replace some supplies such as face towels, bath towel, bath sheet, bed sheet, bath mat, pillow case and duvet cover. Room attendant should show to the supervisor the damage items mention above to request new issue of room amenities and supplies.

Room attendant should report to the supervisor any damage or lost of the items above so that the supervisor will update the records of inventory.

15. Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff.

Every month all room attendant will have schedule for different training's related to housekeeping.

Proper handling of different chemicals

Room attendant commonly use 4 types of chemicals, namely: air freshener, toiler cleaner, multi-purpose cleaner and glass cleaner. Room attendant must know how to apply and where to apply. The most sensitive chemicals is the toilet cleaner - when you apply it to the toilet be sure to leave the bath right away and come back after 10 minutes to avoid suffocation from chemical odor. After after applying the toilet cleaner you can make the bed first before going back to the bathroom to continue your cleaning.

Room attendant also train how to make bed on a standard basis that will minimize the time consume, how to use the industrial vacuum and also how to clean the room step by step.

16. Advises manager, desk clerk, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy.

Room attendant will clean different room check outs. When the supervisor finished checking the rooms, the supervisor will call in the housekeeping office and let the order taker update or change the room status from dirty check out to inspected check out. It means that the room are ready for occupancy. Any guest can check in the room.

In some cases, reception will call to the manager of the housekeeping to inform that they need specific room number to be assign a specific guest. The manager will call the supervisor to priorities the room number given by the reception or from the Director of Rooms.

Once the room are ready, supervisor will inform the reception that the rooms are ready for check-in. TO be followed by calling the order taker to change the status and also if possible the order taker will inform the manager that the rooms assigned for cleaning, already done.

17. Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, and time cards, and prepares periodic reports.

Actually those task are not only controlled by the supervisor. In our office, order taker also assigned to check the work assignments, personnel actions and time records. Every supervisor in our hotel under go order taker training so we can make the work of an order taker.

Supervisor will check the works assignments made by the order taker. Personnel records is keep in the office through the care of the order taker. Time records will be monitored by the order taker and the supervisor. Inventory reports must be made my supervisor. Some other reports related to housekeeping is assigned to order taker like supplies and chemical inventory.

A Sunny Wednesday Here

The sun is bright this morning. Better I woke up very early at around 5:30am. I walked around the house and went to the nearby seashore. I forgot to bring my Mobile to take some photos. Maybe tomorrow I will do the same routine. My goal now is to walk few meters or jogging for few minutes. I think I need to do exercise every morning to stay healthy.

Health is our best assets that we should always consider everyday. If you are unfit, of course you cannot do all things you normally did everyday. All your savings will be spend for hospitalization. Few minutes walking or jogging everyday including proper diet, will help you to maintain good and healthy life.

Job Interview

I am absent from all my online programs yesterday because I left the house early morning at 3am and I need to travel 4 hours to reached the place where the interview being held. I arrive at 7am. The person called me that the interview will start at 8am. I was disappointed when I saw the signboard on their office door that their office hours will start at 9am. OMG! What kind of excuses they made. They want us to come very early even their office still close.

I waited for 2 hours before the foreigner employer arrive. I was selected for the job offer but the problem we didn't agreed the salary offer. I refuse the job and go home. I waste my time spending with them.

Even I was disappointed but I learn something about the job interviewed specially the interviewer.

This post is the continuation of my story about the interview I attended. I was applying for a housekeeping supervisor in one of a leading hotel in Middle east. I expected that the questions was mostly related to my job description being written in my resume or CV. The interviewer looks like he was tired. He directly told me to write all the tools, equipment and chemicals used in the hotel I previously working. He give me one minute to write all possible answers.

While I am writing the answer he also as me some questions about the job I am applying for. Within 40 seconds I finished writing and I give him the paper, he check all the answers and was correct except the equipment's which I missed one. I forgot to write carpet stain remover. AS you all know, in Middle East all of the houses and hotels used carpet to cover their floors.

I was also asked about the chemical we commonly used in removing the stain of the tiles or the floors, is it alkaline or acid chemicals? I answered him that we used alkaline because acid can damage the color of the floor specially marbles.

As I have said I am expecting the the interviewer will thoroughly check my resume and employment certificates but he didn't review and even mind to open it. He only asked me about the job position I am applying for them. I answered "Housekeeping Supervisor". I am expecting that the question he will raised was related to the job description written in my resume. Because he didn't check and review my resume. Maybe he think better to make difference. Although, I wan't prepared about the question but because it's my work experience so I can answer him 99% if not 100%.

To all aspirants for any job position, you should prepare yourself all possible questions that might asked to you by the employer. If was give enough time to think about the tools, equipment and chemicals we commonly used in the hotel, I highly believe, I can give him 100% answer.

Even I was given a short period of time still I come up with almost 100% answer. I was very hungry because I leave the house 3am, not bother myself to prepare for a cup of coffee. After I took a bath and prepare my clothes to wear I went directly to the Buss terminal. I arrived 1 hour before the time agreed but unfortunately, no restaurant or even fast food chain near the office. I sacrifice breakfast and lunch without meal and face the interviewer with an empty stomach.

I will give you the important tools, equipment and chemicals that all housekeeping attendant and supervisor must be familiar. The one my interviewer asked me to write in a sheet of paper. Below are the one we used in Sheraton Riyadh Hotel and Towers. Note: not all hotel have similar tools, equipment and chemicals. It depends on their standard.

Good Morning to all my friends all over the world.

Today is a sunny day here in our place. Expecting to have a bright and shiny weather and a very hot climate. It's a market day here in our town so alot of people will come to do marketing that can be consume for the whole week. During marketing day, cheap commodities are available. That's the reason why people are waiting this day to do groceries and some shopping.

Based on the post last night, I wan't able to do my daily online routine because I was called for a job interview yesterday. Now, I have 777 notification pending and I need to check it one by one. Few minutes from now I will start doing it after I finished preparing our shop for the whole day operation.

I do hope that all of you guys are doing fine and I hope to connect you all for the rest of the day.

A Monday Goodnight

Until now I am very tired and I cannot think good article that I'm going to post for everybody to read and learn. My cousin and my sister who work our shop the whole day while I am out of town seems feeling tired. They are waiting me when to close the shop and we will go home.

As of now, I have 524 notifications that I need to check one by one but the time I have now is not enough. I prepare to check it tomorrow morning while I am fresh and full of energy. I traveled more than 8 hours today on a Bus so I felt I lost all my energy.

TESDA TAYUMAN Experience

TESDA TAYUMAN

September 18, 2012 was the date for the released of my Household Services NC-II. As I said on my previous blog “it is one of the requirements before your working visa will be process by the POEA.” I woke early at around 5:00 o’clock in the morning. After fixing myself I travelled again, I ride a jeep from Pulang Lupa, Las Pinas to Baclaran. Then, I walked for about 5 minutes to reach LRT Baclaran Station. I arrived at Tayuman LRT Station at 7:00 o’clock. I ride a jeep again from LRT station to TESDA, it took about 20 minutes due to traffic and the jeep always stop to find a passengers.

At exactly 7:30 o’clock I enter the TESDA building. I was shocked when I saw a crowd of more than 400 individuals already seating on their respective seats assign by the person incharge on the line. I asked the person seating infront of the door how to claim my certificate. He said “ I need to filled up the attendance sheet for the attendance to have my batch number.

I was among of BACTH 19. Every batch has a member of 15 persons. So it means there are more than 300 person on the list since I arrived, excluding SEABASE. There’s another set-up for them separate from LANDBASE. I sat on the assigned seats, waiting for my turned. Imagine yourself seating with the crowd. The weather wasn’t cold nor hot, an average temperature inside. Time passes by, where moving from one seat to another. Only one batch allowed going in the second floor of the building. The area where we seat was like a parking area at the back of the building. No electric fan, no tv. Although there was one tv hanging but it wasn’t turn on.

Almost 12noon the temperature became hotter and hotter. The problem I forgot to brought my handkerchief. I am lucky that day, my sweat understand my situation, wasn’t came out too much. There was several vendors went to any side of the lot. Selling snacks, breakfast and also for lunch. As I read on the signboard found above the small store, it’s funded by a certain congressman Lopez, for the employees’ cooperative (if I am not mistaken). Well, it’s a big help to most of us, while waiting we can buy something for us to eat and take away our hunger.

1 o’clock our batch was about to be called for the next turn. One of the employee round to all of us and start collecting the payment worth Php 50.00. That amount was the payment of our individual certificate. After 30 minutes, we are called to proceed on the 2nd floor of the building. We sat again out the office and one guy gives us a slip to be filled up. In the slip you need to write the payment information you wish to appear on the receipt.

Then few minutes, we are instructed to go inside the office. Time to handover our id picture to be pasted in the certificate. Our name called one by one. The certificate was ready. After signing our certificate infront of the person in-charge, they will give us our certificate. Lastly, time to leave the office and TESDA building. I finished the whole procedure at exactly 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon. I was relieve and excited to go home.

TESDA Requirements to claim your Certificate:

1. Be sure that day is your scheduled releasing date

2. Join a group of 15 as part of a batch number. Write your name on the attendance sheet. Don’t worry; it is given according to your time of arrival on their building. Be sure to ask anybody if you don’t know the process.

3. Don’t forget to bring one valid ID’s

Valid Id’s are the following:

1. Driver’s License

2. School ID

3. Voter’s ID

4. Office ID

5. Company ID

6. SSS ID

7. BIR (TIN) ID

8. Postal ID

9. Passport (Original Copy)

10. NBI Clearance (Original Copy)

4. Passport size ID Picture (1pc)

v 1.5” x 2” correct size of the ID Picture

5. Php 50.00

Do you think there’s another way to lessen the time on your stay to their office? For me there is a way. Why they don’t print the certificate a day before the schedule of the release. Imagine, 3 days (excluding weekends) are given us before we can claim our certificate. If they print in advance, the can avoid a very long line and keep away from being pressured. They can assign a number to be called one by one to enter their office. It’s hassle free and minimizes the time we can spend in their office. Why, they didn’t do that way?

There’s point of view came to my mind. If they lessen the time and make the process very short, their business inside will not earn from the people on that particular day. Can you count how much they will earn from more than 500 individuals everyday? Main thing, they are happy to earn from us but it’s annoying to stay on their place for a longer period of time seating for about 6 hours, nothing to do except wondering and texting.

It's a sunny sunday morning here in +DavaoProvince
Hope all of you have a good sleep last night and not like zombie looks because you spend more time doing your daily Bubblews routine. As you all knew, I can't do Bubbling every night because I don't have internet connection at home. Instead, I spend all my time to my son and to my family. If I have extra time, I write different article for posting the following day.

The sun shine very brightly, again no sign that there were rain shower later on but due to constant climate change I cannot predict if there's rain today. Maybe alot of friends going out for shopping, visiting families, family bonding and any other events.

I hope you will enjoy the day with your family bonding either outside or inside on your home as long the family are around.

We open our shop at around 8am. Little bit late our opening today. I wake up at 6am but I need to play my son while his Mom take care some household chores.

The legal authorities now make actions so that they can prevent Filipinos go out the country without proper documentation.

OFW or Overseas Filipino Workers who are not aware on the new process, complained about the latest requirements imposed by different agencies registered by POEA. DFA or Department of Foreign Affairs, OWWA or Overseas Worker Welfare Administration and TESDA or Technical Education and Skills Development Authority made their part to any agencies before an OFW has been granted for any working visas.

One thing I was annoyed about the latest procedure of the POEA was with TESDA. I was newly arrived OFW from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, worked as Housekeeping Supervisor in one of 5 Star hotel in Riyadh. Before I left the country on year 2009 I undergone training on HOME MANAGEMENT which tackled Food Service (includes waitering, table set-up, basic napkin folding, basic table skirting and personal hygiene and grooming), Housekeeping (includes bed set-up, bathroom cleaning and kitchen), Wine Mixing, Identify Cultural Preferences, Telephone Etiquette and Protective Measures and Safety Consideration. It’s almost complete but when I talked to the agency, POEA not honored my previous trainings.

It’s disgusting to me and to other ex-OFW, why I need to undergone another training which was so simple compared to the one I attended and also to work experienced I have. As per the TESDA assessors said “I need to attend again because it’s POEA requirements”. I was shock! I don’t want to argue with them. I am not a first time OFW and besides I work already in a 5 star hotel and again they want to test or assess me, related to household chores?

AUREATE ASSESSMENT CENTER
TESDA required all outgoing OFW in the field of hotels and home (domestic helper) to have Household Services NC-II. Based on the day I was assessed, it wasn’t worth. By the way I was referred to Aureate Assessment Center; their office was not comfortable for us. The TESDA should accredit assessment center that provide the needed facilities for all the applicants. Imagine, the bathroom was terrific, toilet bowl and shower was not working. How can we show to the assessor the proper cleaning of the bathroom? I don’t know why TESDA give accreditation to that kind of center. What the use of assessing OFW who will work to a high tech houses in some parts of the world and also to those who will work in a 5 star hotel outside the Philippines?

ROOM CLEANING, BED SET-UP, LAUNDRY and WINDOW CLEANING
Bedroom cleaning and Bed set-up was so interesting. I was so excited to know how the assessor rate us based on the available beddings the center have. Anyway, I want to introduce my TESDA assessor Ms. Ma. Cristina Miranda. Ms. Miranda was a cool and a very nice person I’ve meet but I have some points to complain about her.

First, before I start making the bed, I told her that I am working in a 5 star hotel in Riyadh and we are following the standard of the hotel chain STARWOOD HOTELS WORLDWIDE. She didn’t listen to me. What we have in the hotel to prepare the bed are 2 sheets, duvet, duvet cover, 2 Front Pillows and 2 Back Pillows. While in Aureate only flat sheet (which is common in our house), top sheet, comforter and 2 Pillows.

I told her “Ma’am every hotel have their own standard, I’m sorry if I will show you what I learned from my work experience. Definitely, from a 5 star hotel but I can manage to make the bed using what are available in the center.” You know what she said? She directly said without thinking “You’re not working on that hotel.” Maybe she was thinking, I was kidding with her or maybe she heard, similar story with other applicants she encountered. I felt ashamed and I want to show her my certificate to remove her doubts. She’s lucky, no time to get my things downstairs. As you know, we’re not allowed to bring anything when assessment starts. All your belongings should be left outside the assessment facilities. Only mobile phone (turn-off or silent inside your pocket) and wallet are only allowed to bring. Jewelries, watches and any other thing that can catches attention to the assessors must be remove and kept.

I was annoyed and frustrated. She insisted that she also teaching housekeeping in one school in Manila. I want to say her “I don’t care if you’re a teacher” What I want to say was bed setting matters on hotel or household standard. What an individual knows about it, she/he can show to her. She doesn’t want to listen. My purpose was to clarify only some points to her and also to all applicants around us.

Later on, maybe when she found out that I have an experience and I show her how to fix and properly fit the sheet so that it looks good, she stops me even I was just started. I told her “I’m not yet finished,” she said “Okay, that’s enough.” I left the room while she smiles to me.

Second, we did window cleaning. Needed equipments are squeegee, glass cleaner and dry rag. Turn the foam side of the squeegee circular motion on the glass and used the rubber side to remove the dirt, always wife the squeegee with dry rag. We did it within 2 minutes only and Ms. Miranda told me to go on next assessment. Well, very simple to clean the window.

Third, cleaning furniture and fixtures. The assessor told me to show her how to used the vacuum and floor polisher. It’s so simple but the equipment available was good for household only, unlike the one we used in the hotel which are bigger and high speed. Only those DH applicants were curious and want to learn how the machine works. For us, who work in the hotel, doesn’t matter.

I always complain about the equipments they have, it’s far from the standard. She always said “it’s about household and I am talking about standard in the hotel.” Big question came to my mind, if that assessment was ONLY FOR HOUSEHOLD, why we, who are working in the hotel, need to undergo. It’s like they are not serious about the sincerity of the government in giving requirements to all OFW? Or maybe, it’s because JUST ONLY A REQUIREMENTS.

LAUNDRY

I show my assessor the steps how the laundry works. I am lucky enough, laundry was one of housekeeping section in the hotel I worked abroad. Everyday, I watched the laundryman how they did in classifying different clothes from our guest. To avoid discoloration, white clothes should be separate from the colored. They checked all clothes came to the laundry. Small defects, discolored and have stain clothes always coordinated with the owner of the items to avoid complains. The assessor thumbs up again and I was instructed to leave the laundry. I also show to Ms. Miranda how to iron different clothes especially those have collars. I finished laundry for about 5 minutes.

TABLE SET-UP

Table set-up was the simplest among all. I already had gone through similar set-up when I undergone training from a caregiver center in Iligan City. The table set-up I made was Russian style. I finished the set-up within 2 minutes. I was question about the amount of water to be put inside the water Goblet and why only that amount is allowed? I answered the assessor without delayed “only ¾ to avoid spilling. Better I recalled my previous trainings. She was impressed with me. Most of my co-applicants takes more than 5-10 minutes doing the table set-up specially those who don’t have any experience about table set-up. I felt pity to all applicants for DH or Domestic Helpers.

COOKING HOT AND COLD MEALS

Hot Meal, we prepared BEEF STEW. All ingredients already prepared (slice and cut into required size) but it was place near the cold meal ingredients. If you are not careful you will mix both ingredients which will result failure. I only need beef, onion, carrots, potato, beans and bell pepper. Some of the ingredient has been cut and slice but the skin not yet remove like the carrots and potato. If you mix it with other ingredients and you cook, you will fail. I put all ingredients in the fan and cook for about 5 minutes and I show it to Ms. Miranda. She told me to eat. So, I did.

Cold Meal, like the hot meal all the ingredients place in the table together with the hot meal. Again, be careful in picking up the correct ingredients needed. I prepared TOSSED SALAD. While I am cooking the hot meal I also did the cold meal. To minimize time consume. Unlike the other applicants they did one by one which was time consuming. The ingredients are lettuce, carrots, cucumber, tomato, white onion, green pepper and boiled egg. I garnished with catsup and mayonnaise. I really like the taste. I want to prepare another one.

Conclusions and Recommendations

In household Services National Certificate II composed of 4 CORE COMPETENCY;

1. Clean living room, dining room, bed rooms, toilets, bathrooms and kitchen

2. Wash and iron clothes, linens and fabrics

3. Prepare hot and cold meals

4. Provide food and beverages service

I don’t think so if it is really needed to remember the following persons;

TESDA Director: Ms. Yerma Saulon

TESDA Representative: Ms. Linda Baccus

TESDA Assessor: Ms. Ma. Cristina Miranda

I was also annoyed and frustrated to some of the TESDA assessors especially Ms. Imelda Pascual and the other, who always shout for the applicant if they made mistakes. It is really needed? If the applicants are shy and felt nervous when they face high profile individuals, it will trigger them to be more nervous and can’t concentrate their works especially those who are applying for a domestic helper. Instead of shouting why, they show concern and give encouragement? Not a loud voice that others individual around will think they are high authorities and they don’t care about anyone. They didn’t remember that OFW have a major role in our economics today. Do they think it’s easy to work abroad, sacrificing ourselves away from our families and friends? Who give them their salary? I am not criticizing them but if ever they can show feelings as human being to applicants, they should not do it again. Every individual have different capacity and ability, they should always consider.

I hope that the way our POEA strictly imposed the new requirements, will prevent individuals be a victim of human trafficking. I remember some of my staff in Saudi Arabia who are victims of this kind of inhumanity. They signed a contract with a salary of 600 Dollars here in the Philippines but when they arrived in Saudi Arabia, their salary until now ranging from 600 to 700 Riyals. One guy, when he asked to sign a contract in AFRAS AGENCY refuse to do it, one of their staff told him “if he won’t sign, he cannot received his allowance and no food for him to eat.” Aside from that, they stay in a room wherein no air-condition. Can you imagine their life?

How can they sustain the needs of their families if they have 2-3 children and 2 of them already in school? It’s very difficult for them to work hard but their efforts are not compensated according to the promised salary they got from the agency in the Philippines. Do you think they will sign the contract if they won’t agree the salary? Of course not. Philippine authorities should do actions why SAUDI AFRAS AGENCY still acquiring OFW to be part of their manpower. Why until now the government didn’t catch those agencies that have connection with them? Do the government seriously doing their job to stop human trafficking?

I Missed Sheraton Riyadh

Actually this article I wrote more than 2 years already in my blog. I want to refresh this nice experience we have with my hotel staff while I was working with Sheraton Riyadh Hotel and Towers.

I won't re-write the previous context of my article, just consider it was happened more than a year 2 years ago. I revert to draft all my post in my blogs so that it cannot be viewed anymore. I want to share it here in Bubblews

Last night I invited my 3 men who always support me during our shift to go outside and having a midnight meal with them. For the information of everybody since 2 months already my duty started at 12noon and it will end at 12midnight. After our duty, we fixed ourselves to go outside. I waited them for a while outside our staff compound. Actually, I didn't change my whole uniformed, only my suit and the pants left!. About 2 minutes I wait and I was so hungry because the food in our cafeteria was not delicious, not new to all staff. I follow up the 3 guys with a call to their mobile. Apparently, my stomach already crying and want to have a good digestion not my fats.

Later on, the guys came and I saw their both eyes, an excitement to go with me. Of course, the time I spend to them will not be repeated again and again. I am busy with my work and I cannot spent time going outside with them. In other words, they are very lucky and I am lucky also to accompanied with them.

Well, we walk for a couple of minutes instead of riding a taxi. By walking, atleast we can talk and discuss different nice topic with the guys. It was a nice getting together with my subordinate. While we are on duty, most of the time I speak with them is about our job. Less time to talk about our personal life. The hotel operation is always busy and we are more concerned on the guest needs than chatting with nonsense topic.

About 10 minutes, we arrived in the area and I ordered food for us. While waiting our order we discuss several things regarding the culture of my country and also to their country. Before I will forgot, the colleagues with me, 2 guys from Bangladesh and 1 Filipino like me. Because we spent already more than a year being Evening shift so we are closed to each other. Although, they are from another Nationality but still I considered and treat them like my countrymen. Different cultures but with the same nature of job so no worries at all.

We didn't bring a camera so we missed the night together without photo remembrance. I promised to them that I will schedule another hang out for MEAL outside by next month. I cannot bring also my VideoCam because I kept it in my luggage and last night several people was there in my room. Chatting and drinking some special drinks, when I reached my room I went our immediately after few minutes.

Anyway, the colleagues with me last night were namely: Eli, Jahangir and Shafiq

I am hoping that by next month we can go out again to have a midnight meal. Unfortunately, the food we are eating from our cafeteria seems not good anymore, maybe because we always eat everyday and the menu still the same.

Today, when I come to the office some of the guys who happened, they are with me when I was morning shift, and ask me "why I didn't invite them" to go with me for a free meal. I think they felt jealous on their colleagues whom I treat special than them. To all who know the life of people working evening, is not easy! TO reward them, I treat them sometimes a free meal so that we enjoy the fruit of our hardwork - my salary!

Good Morning To All My Friends

Is a sunny and cloudy morning here in our place. I don't know what will happen to the weather the rest of the day. Hoping no rain will shower on us later.

Today is another great day that all of us should be thankful. Even we encounter different challenges in all, we should not forget to thanks God for letting us to see another day. If you are facing problems at the moment, don't give up. God didn't give you any trials that you cannot solve. In every problem, there's always a solution. Be sure to face your problem if it will come to you. Never set it aside and let the problem grow bigger.

Problems is our accompanied in life. Since birth we face already several problems. If not related to ourselves maybe it problem with the family. The most import, be strong and believe in Him. He will always be there for us anytime we call him for a rescue.

About what was happened yesterday, the site was unreachable several hours after lunch time here in the Philippines. I tried many time but seems the site was full of loads and traffic. Maybe the server cannot cater all the members who their daily routine activities. The back to normal at almost 6pm in the evening. I was about to close my shop and go home.

This morning I got only few notification. Maybe some of my connection are busy for the weekend on their evening party or some picnics outside their respective places. Hope to catch up you guys later on.

My 2nd Week on Bubblews

I felt regret why I found Bubblews very late. Why I didn’t came across this site during the launch last year. I am an active online money maker, I mean I joined and expose to different sites every since I discover money making on the internet. If Bubblews open last February, I was in Saudi Arabia that time and I was active in different sites such as ptc (paid to click), ptp(paid to post), hyip(high yielding investment program) and some other programs that I was interested to earn money. Aside from the salary I received from my regular job abroad I was also receiving money from my online program.

If I joined Bubblews on the day it was open ot maybe after a month. I think I already earned more 1000 bucks. If I based to the latest statistic of my earnings everyday, do doubts I can reach that amount within a year. Everytime I finished my job I directly went to my room, around 50 steps from the main entrance of the hotel I work, 4th floor of the 6 stories building intended for more than 450 total employees of the hotel. I was addict clicking hundreds of ads from different ptc which I earned point of cents not like Bubblews you can earn about 1 cent every action you readers made.

Based on my observation, it’s possible to earned 3 cents in every visit of our viewers if they will like or dislike, comments and of course once they click your article automatically you will earn one view each one of them. As long as it was their first viewed on your article. Bubblews counts only the unique views we get from different viewers. Meaning only one time the system count your IP address. If you repeatedly viewed the article it won’t count anymore.
