Are Filipinos still worth dying for? Part VIII

We are the country that through citizens’ initiative, two Presidents were brought down, who were perceived and proven to be corrupt and philanderer of the power bestowed upon them by the people. However, not all persons are corrupt. And, not all officials in the government are lizards.

No matter how many laws, rules, protocols we place to ensure that corruption does not happen, it will never be enough. So long as there is that mentality of corruption, these persons will find, and find they will, of ways to go around. Moreover, corruption will never be terminated if people tolerate it. To remove it, we must have a national consciousness of making it a taboo – which we don’t have.
